Carol Schram: Brandon Sutter's back for Canucks' important divisional battle vs. Coyotes For the first time this year, the Vancouver Canucks will get to measure themselves against the Pacific Division-leading Arizona Coyotes. Brandon Sutter will return to the lineup after missing 12 games with injury on Thursday night at Rogers Arena.

100%.

I'm leaving this game off the ticket most likely ARZ in OT.

I am going with 3-1 Vancouver. I like the idea of Jake with Petterson and Miller, very different look at least for a bit. I also am intrigued at what Brock does for Gaudette, could be a good change for both lines.

I like the idea of spreading out the scoring depth on 3 lines. Gaudette can use the infusion. Glad to see Schaller get the press box. I do expect line changes in game but hope an extended look with BB & Gaudette & how that depth matches up is a good sign that TG will change it up.

JTM & Petey are a good duo & JV gives them the speed that Brock cannot. It smacks of my penchant for balance & not loading up a line. They can use the change & I expect them reunited on the PP since NB cannot help himself. Who is the other winger for AG?

I would like to see a few games with these lines I feel like Beagle could benefit from a trip to the pressbox as well. I'd like to see a fourth line of
Motte Sutter Macewan for a couple of games as Beagle has been awful as of late. I still like what he can do but he hasn't been very reliable.

Glad to have Sutter back, he helps on the PK and turns the 4th line into a legit checking line

3 scoring lines + 1 checking line

Motte Beagle Sutter i’m fine with. Sutter adds to that trio & Beags wins FO’s. He could get a rest now & then though.

He's in for Schaller though, I'd call that a wash at worst. At least he's on the 4th line where he belongs.

He gives that line more of a scoring threat also. PK duties. Showcase for potential TDL trade. Schaller is a plug tbh.

He's a huge upgrade on Schaller. Schaller is more of a 5-7 goal per season guy and Sutter's 82 game pace is usually around 15 goals, while being faster and better defensively than Schaller.

The only thing Schaller has on Sutter is a bit more physicality and obviously durability lol

You're right I was being too kind kind to Schaller, he's trash. I was more just thinking it's close if Sutter isn't 100%, he's a vastly superior player in terms of skill though.
